How to Choose a Digital Marketing Agency in Bangladesh

Choose a digital marketing agency by comparing how well it understands your business goal, the strategy it proposes, exactly what it will deliver, the proof it can show, how it measures results, who will do the work, who owns your accounts and data, and what the total cost includes.

Do not decide on the length of its service list or the lowest price.

Almost every agency in Bangladesh lists SEO, social media, paid ads, content, and "full-service digital marketing."

The proposals sound alike. The difference shows up after you sign: who does the work, what you see each month, and what happens when results are weak.

This guide explains why those questions matter more than a service list, how to check the answers, red flags, and a scorecard to make those differences visible before you commit.

Note: We are a digital marketing agency, so we have a side in this. I have tried to write this the way I would explain it to a business owner who is about to sign with anyone, including someone else.

Why we wrote this

A business owner came to us after paying a digital marketing team for months without understanding what they were getting in return. It's a common story, and it made us realize the selection process is broken.

Figuring out how to choose a good and trusted digital marketing agency in Bangladesh shouldn't be a guessing game. We wrote this resource to give you the exact questions you need to ask before signing anything, so you can make a confident choice.

How most bad digital marketing agency hires happen

How most bad digital marketing agency hires happen

It usually looks the same, whatever the agency. Four things line up:

  1. The proposal is a list of services. SEO, Facebook, Google Ads, content, "full digital marketing." There is no reasoning about why these channels for this business.

  2. The price is one number. You cannot tell what is management fee, what is ad spend and what is content or design.

  3. The proof is a percentage. "We increased traffic by 300%." From what, over how long, and did it bring any customers?

  4. Nobody talks about ownership. Who owns the ad account, the analytics, the domain? That question comes up only when the contract ends.

Together, they mean you are buying a promise instead of a plan.

Most owners only find out after a few months, when the reports look busy, but the phone is not ringing.

Questions that matter when you hire a digital marketing agency

Questions that matter when you hire a digital marketing agency

1. What will you do in the first 90 days?

This is the best single question. A serious agency can walk you through it without hesitation.

A typical shape, which every agency should adjust to the business:

  • Month 1: check tracking, audit what exists, set a baseline, agree priorities, fix the obvious problems.

  • Month 2: steady execution, first real data review, adjustments.

  • Month 3: look at what worked, what did not, and plan the next phase.

"Results take time" is true. It is not an answer. Ask what happens during that time.

2. Who will actually do the work?

The person who wins your business is often not the person who runs it. Ask who manages your account, who does the hands-on SEO or ad work, who checks the strategy, and who picks up when something breaks. Then ask how often you will speak.

You are entitled to a name and a role, not just "our team."

3. How will I see the results?

Ask to see a sample report before you sign. A good report tells you what happened, why it happened, and what happens next. A bad one is a page of charts.

Match the numbers to your goal.

"Do digital marketing" is not a goal. Write down the result you need:

  • More qualified leads

  • More online sales

  • Better organic visibility

  • Less dependence on paid traffic

  • Better conversion from traffic you already have

  • Entry into a new market (Bangladesh or international)

If you want leads, ask about qualified leads and cost per lead.
If you want sales, ask about revenue and return on ad spend.

Rankings and impressions are useful, but they are not the goal.

Ranking first for a keyword nobody buys from is a nice screenshot and nothing else.

4. What will I own?

You should own your domain, website, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads account, Meta Business assets, social accounts, and creative files.

The agency can have access. That is different from owning.

Put it in writing: who owns each account, and what happens to access if you part ways.

Fee and ad spend are two different things

Fee and ad spend are two different things

If an agency manages your Facebook or Google ads, its fee is not your ad budget.

Ask for these as separate lines:

  • Management or service fee

  • Money that goes to the ad platform

  • Any setup, design, or content production cost

Also ask how the ad platform will be paid for. Whose card or payment method is used, and is the ad account registered in your business name?

At Brainwave, you’ll see any setup, design, or content costs separately before the work begins. The ad account and payment method are agreed with you upfront, so you know exactly what you’re paying for and where the ad budget goes.

"Cheap" is not a price; it is a scope

Imagine two proposals, one at ৳15,000 a month and one at ৳50,000. It is tempting to pick the smaller number.

But the smaller one might include four social posts and no reporting, and the larger one might include a detailed SEO audit, content, ad management, and a monthly review with the person doing the work.

So do not ask, "Who is cheapest?"

Ask, "What exactly does this fee cover, and what does it leave out?"

Put the proposals side by side and compare the work, not the total.

Ask for proof that explains what changed

Ask for proof that explains what changed by their digital marketing service in bd

A real & useful case study answers five things:

What was the situation at the start?

What did the agency actually change?

How long did it take?

Which numbers moved?

What did that mean for the business?

If a case study only shows a big percentage, ask for the rest of the story.

What happens when results are weak?

Every campaign has a bad month. What matters is what the agency does next.

Look for a simple loop:
Find the problem, work out why, explain it to you in plain words, change something, and measure again.

Be careful with anyone who guarantees rankings or results.

Nobody controls Google or Meta. Google's own guidance on AI features in Search also says there is no special trick or special markup needed to appear in them; the same basics still apply, which are useful, original, crawlable content.

So an agency selling "AI SEO" as a secret is selling you a label.

When you may not need a digital marketing company yet

When you may not need a digital marketing agency yet

An agency makes sense when you have a clear growth problem and not enough people, skills, or time to solve it.

  • Traffic has stalled

  • The site does not bring leads

  • Ads convert badly

  • You need several channels working together

But if your need is narrow, one freelancer or one specific project may be enough.

The honest question is, what can my business not do well today, and is that worth paying someone to do?

Ask these before you sign

  1. What would you do first for my business, and why?

  2. What would you not do yet?

  3. What exactly is in the monthly scope?

  4. Who will do the work?

  5. How will I see results, and can I see a sample report?

  6. Can you show a case study like my situation?

  7. What do I own, and what happens to access if we stop?

  8. What is the fee, what is ad spend, and what is extra?

  9. What happens if the first three months underperform?

  10. What will I see in the first 90 days?

If you can answer all ten after the meeting, you know more than most people do when they sign.
